Interactive Archaeology Digital Devices
For the “Saison Romaines” exhibition at the Musée Gallo-Romain in Saint-Romain-en-Gal, the team designed three digital devices:
RESTORATION ATELIER

TESSERAE ANALYSIS ATELIER

These interactive installations immerse visitors in the role of archaeologists, encouraging active exploration. At the heart of the exhibition is the mosaïque des Saisons, a 3rd-century masterpiece depicting agricultural activities and rituals around the personifications of the four seasons.
Discovered in October 1890 at the Saint-Romain-en-Gal archaeological site, the mosaic was acquired by the Louvre Museum in 1892 and later preserved at the Musée d’Archéologie Nationale. In 2022 and 2023, it underwent a major restoration at the Musée de Saint-Romain-en-Gal, after which experts conducted an in-depth study.
Now, for the first time since its discovery, the mosaic returns to its original site, creating a unique dialogue between history, preservation, and interactive technology.
